Accomplishment: Assessing the potential risk of failure from the students who received a MTW Letter in PHY121. Recruiting 6-8 graduate students to work individually for the 12 days leading up to the PHY 121 final as well as tracking their progress to ensure success.
Benefit to the Hajim School: The Hajim School received gratitude from students expressing their appreciation for our efforts. Additionally, a situation that could have deteriorated into one of finger pointing and territorialism resulted in a collaborative working relationship that will last a long time. The ultimate goal is that more URM freshmen will continue with their HSEAS major knowing that they are supported by faculty and staff.
