Accomplishment: Gina's devotion to her job goes "above and beyond" on a daily basis. I am specifically recommending Gina, however, based on her actions the week of June 17. As part of the Institute of Optics Retention and Recruiting initiative, Gina generated, in a two-day period, over 60 letters from the director. These letters recognized both current students for their outstanding academic performance last Spring and welcomed prospective students from the Class of 2017. Her diligence, initiative, and willingness to step forward ensured the letters were generated, signed, and delivered in a timely manner. Furthermore, by volunteering to take this task and complete it in an expedited manner freed up other staff members to focus on other pending work items. I believe that Gina's actions reflected great credit upon both the Institute of Optics and HSEAS.

Benefit to the Hajim School: Recognition of our current students by the director helps improve the Institute's sense of esprit-de-corps and provides the personal touch. It is a factor in the formula that makes the Institute a special place to study and work. Giving students a sense of "belonging" and personal recognition translates into positive word of mouth amongst the student body. Recognition and outreach to prospective students is a vital recruiting initiative. For the reasons above, I believe that these letters play a vital role in supporting the Hajim School's overall strategic objectives.

Accomplishment: Working on a short-timeline, Gina designed a poster advertisement for the Institute of Optics. Despite the limited notice, an excellent advertisement was created and submitted to a journal. The Institute's leadership is always amazed by Gina's energy, passion, creativity, and timely delivery brought to each project.

Benefit to the Hajim School: The Institute of Optics will be prominently displayed in a public journal.
