Accomplishment: On 9/9/10 Ana accompanied Paul Ballentine, Duncan Moore and other UR faculty to an AMTech Kick-Off Meeting in Washington, DC to support the pre-meeting event the previous evening as well as scribe/record the full day meeting event for Dr. Ballentine and the various working group leaders. She organized the meeting notes to make them available to group leaders and relevant participants and posted them on the CEIS website (

Benefit to the Hajim School: CEIS was able to convene an out-of-town meeting of nationwide participants to organize AMTech road-mapping activities and jumpstart the NNMI planning in anticipation of an upcoming RFP. Ana's presence allowed the meetings to flow and be well documented and she was able to collect the event's presentations and comments for timely dissemination to working group leaders/members.

Accomplishment: Ana regularly seeks out better solutions for the various industry research projects she is assigned. She continues to look for opportunities to improve various processes for obtaining industry and market research to benefit CEIS and their mission. She utilizes various sources and incorporates them into real-time ideas.

Benefit to the Hajim School: Her efforts will benefit the group as she continues to develop databases and processes the information contained in them, and improving them over time. As she seeks easier ways to obtain, store, and track the data for these databases, it will be more convenient to create presentations, offer real-time data to outside parties and utilize for future grant submissions on behalf of the university.
