Nominated by: Rachel Monfredo
Accomplishment: Rachel read the names of the chemical engineering Class of 2014 at Commencement this year before they crossed the stage at the Eastman Theater. Not only did she practice the names in advance, she basically knew them all without looking at the announcer cards. Her pronunciation was spot on (including international students) and she said each name with pride. This is just another example of why Rachel is loved by students and staff. She goes above and beyond for the department.
Benefit to the Hajim School: Rachel is a glowing example of what every staff member should strive to be in the Hajim School. She brings a sense of community and is always accessible when students have questions.
