Benefit to the Hajim School

As a graduate coordinator in optics, Kari went above and beyond the call of duty. She went to this event to assess the value for her students and to network with other women engineers in the area. She left the event with the following words: "From what I could discern, most of the individuals who were in attendance were women working in industry (and a female faculty member from RIT). I think it’d be a great organization to tell our graduate Hajim women about and encourage them to participate in their events. Additionally, if it is in GSO’s/Hajim's budget to sponsor women who would like to attend these events, I think that would be wonderful. I think it would show our ladies that the University is making an honest attempt to support them through their graduate degree, help them engage with the local community, and offer different types of professional development." Kari is actively engaged with the engineering community both on and off-campus and is willing to explore opportunities to support her students.
