Accomplishment: Kelly has been a guiding light during a stressful period of staffing turbulence in her department. She provides the glue that holds us together as a cohesive team despite numerous challenges.
After the sudden departure of two of her colleagues, Kelly cheerfully and ably stepped up to make sure nothing slipped between the cracks.
Kelly has a well-deserved reputation as the "go to person" in the Hajim Dean's Office. When it has to be done right and on time with 100% accuracy, Kelly always delivers. For example, Kelly was able to provided same day service to a working adult student who wishes to major in optics. This potential student took time off from work to come to campus and, with Kelly's help, all of his questions were answered in a timely manner.
Benefit to the Hajim School: Their are two principal beneficiaries to Kelly's exceptional efforts during this turbulent period:
1. The undergraduate coordinators who know that they can call Kelly for assistance and always get an accurate and timely response.
2. More importantly, the students have benefited from Kelly stepping up to the plate. It would have been understandable if there was an advising slow down in student services until two new staffers were hired. Again, if something is wrong, a call to Kelly can make it right with minimal stress to the student.
