Short Biography

Research in Dr. Dalecki's laboratory focuses on understanding the mechanisms of interaction of ultrasound with biological tissues. Mechanisms for bioeffects of ultrasound are studied in regard to assessing the safety of ultrasound used for diagnostic medical imaging, therapy and lithotripsy. In addition, the development of new, noninvasive therapeutic applications of ultrasound requires an understanding of the physical mechanisms of interaction of sound with tissue.
