Weekly Memo

Dear members of the Hajim School community:

I just have a couple of things to share with you this week.

I hope to see many of you at the lecture by Robert J. Potter ’57 (M.A.) ’60 (Ph.D.) on Monday, April 4.  Dr. Potter is the president and CEO of RJ Potter Company, a technical and business consulting firm. He has held leadership positions at a number of companies in the course of his career, all of which have relied on his entrepreneurial expertise.  He’ll share the lessons he’s learned about product development, sales, and entrepreneurship with us in his lecture, which will begin at 2:30 p.m. in Sloan Auditorium, and he will also be available during a networking session from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the same location. Please RSVP to Lydia Kociuba at 585-275-9887 or lkociuba@alumni.rochester.edu if you will be able to attend.

And freshmen and sophomores should take a look at US-UK Fulbright Summer Institutes and consider applying by the Friday, April 15 deadline. Spending a summer in London, Newcastle, or Wales could be an excellent opportunity for academic and cultural enrichment. The summer programs are also fully subsidized by the Fulbright Commission, including airfare, lodging, meals, and tuition. More information is available at the program website and from the College Center for Academic Support (CCAS). Students interested in any of the major national fellowships (Fulbright, Marshall, Rhodes, etc.) should visit the CCAS website for information or call 585-276-5869 (585) 276-5869to make an appointment.

Sincerely,

Robert L. Clark
Professor and Dean
