Weekly Memo

Dear members of the Hajim School community:

I
am pleased to announce that Cindy Gary will be joining the Hajim School as the Assistant Dean for Grants and Contracts, effective April 9th.

Cindy's professional background includes over fifteen years of experience in research and technology development administration. In her most recent position, Cindy managed research and contracts at the Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies (CIMS) at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Her past experience also includes managing all pre-award proposal functions for the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at RIT and as Program Director for High Tech Rochester.

While at CIMS, Cindy led funding identification, proposal development, grant and contract management, and reporting to central offices at RIT.  Her notable achievements include coordinating the successful 2010 NIST construction grant awarding $13.1M to RIT for the Golisano Institute for Sustainability building (RIT's largest competitive federal award); overseeing numerous center proposals and teaming opportunities in the mix of 100+ annual proposal submissions.

I am confident that Cindy will be an asset for the Hajim School's continued pursuit of highly competitive, multi-institutional, research funding proposals. Please join me in welcoming her to the Hajim School.

Sincerely,

Robert L. Clark
Professor and Dean
