Agenda for Industrial Associates Fall meeting is now posted!

This fall we are holding our Industrial Associates at a special time: Sunday and Monday October 13th and 14th.

2013 is the 60^th Anniversary of the founding of Tropel by Bob Hopkins,  and we have determined that some 115 graduates and faculty of the Institute of Optics have founded at least 160 companies in the last sixty years, another reason to celebrate. To honor this anniversary and that of optics and entrepreneurship at the University of Rochester we are combining this celebration with our Fall 2013 Industrial Associates meeting at the Institute of Optics, University of Rochester. 

The program starts noon Sunday October 13th, where we are having keynote presentations and panel discussions on topics of company formation, company development and on "lessons learned."  Sunday night we will have a joint reception with optical entrepreneurs and members of the Hajim School of Engineering Visiting Committee.

Monday October 14th, we will have a morning research poster session and company presentations followed by a networking lunch.  Interview times will be available Monday for Industrial Associates members interested in scheduling interviews with students. 

Please note that this program coincides with the University of Rochester Meliora Weekend (https://www.rochester.edu/melioraweekend/) plus on Monday, October 14^th the Optifab Conference begins at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.  Needless to say, there is a lot to offer that weekend and following week, please consider joining us!
