Optical engineering student wins contest to receive seed money for cool project
This summer, Pedro Vallejo Ramirez, a rising junior at the Institute of Optics submitted a proposal for a project to showcase the power of sunlight using optics in the International Year of Light (2015).
Today, his proposal was chosen among the winners, so he will receive seed funding to start his project. This is another wonderful example of how engaged and active faculty and students at the Institute are and what great research is going on here.
Check out the video of Pedro's project submission. Optics is fun and also "light work". Enjoy!
