Hajim School honors Waugh, Adamson
Sept. 5, 2014—Under the guidance of Richard Waugh, the Department of Biomedical Engineering has grown from an initial class of 10 graduates in 2000 into the Hajim School’s largest department. Waugh also maintains a renowned research lab and is a valuable mentor to undergraduates.
Per Adamson does more than merely administer the teaching labs at the Institute of Optics. He finds creative ways to use those labs to involve students in hands-on learning, and to interest prospective students in attending the Institute.
Both were honored at the Hajim School’s annual reception at Oak Hill Country last night – Waugh with the school’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and Adamson with the Outstanding Staff Award.
