April 10, 2014

Congratulations to Raquel (Ivy) Awuor, an undergraduate Electrical & Computer Engineering student who conducts research in Prof. Marvin Doyley's lab!  Ivy was awarded the American Heart Association (AHA) Founders Affiliate Undergraduate Student Summer Fellowship.  The fellowship was awarded for her proposal titled, "Development of a Nonlinear Intravascular Ultrasound System for Imaging the Vasa Vasorum in Coronary Arteries."  Ivy will spend the upcoming summer conducting this exciting research in Prof. Doyley's Parametric Imaging Research Lab.  From the AHA:  "The American Heart Association supports highly promising, undergraduate students for full-time research fellowships over a minimum of a ten-week period during the summer.  The goal of this program is to encourage students to pursue careers in cardiovascular research."
