Nayak/Verma/Ahmed/Doyley win CIRC poster award

Congratulations to Rohit Nayak (Ph.D. candidate supervised by Prof. Doyley) for receiving the 1st Place award for the poster titled "Visualizing principal strains of carotid artery using plane wave imaging", presented at the University of Rochester Center for Integrated Research Computing (CIRC) Poster Session held on May 4, 2016.  In addition to Prof. Doyley, Rohit's co-authors included Prashant Verma and Rifat Ahmed (also Ph.D. candidates in Prof. Doyley's lab), Nancy Carson and Vikram Dogra (Imaging Sciences), Meera Singh and Sanjay Maggirwar (Microbiology and Immunology),  and Giovanni Schifitto (Neurology).  The research results presented at the CIRC session feature computations performed on BlueHive and/or Blue Gene/Q, and Rohit's 1st place poster was recognized for its presentation, use of computational techniques/technology, and discussion/interaction with panel judges.  The poster described the promising results from an ongoing NIH-supported HIV/vascular aging project.  Congratulations to Rohit and his co-authors on a job well done!
