Doyley Receives NIH Subaward

Professor Marvin Doyley has received a National Institutes of Health subaward from Dr. Jia Xun at the State University of New York at Buffalo. The project is titled "Multiparametric photoacoustic and ultrasonic imaging of the breast in cranial-caudal view" and the project period extends from 04/07/2020 to 12/31/2023. The goal of this project is to allow visualization of blood distribution and tissue stiffness in the breast, both associated with tissue malignancy. This multi-modal technique that combines light and sound will address current limitations in breast screening of high-risk and dense-breast patients. More information can be found here.
