ME 111Q - Introduction to Scanning Electron Microscopy
Concept: The objective of ME111Q is to
provide freshmen with a strong, positive exposure to the research
experience. Students are given detailed instruction in the principles
and use of a scanning electron microscope and then provided with an
opportunity to use the microscope in a project which they formulate.
Through the project format students are also introduced to basic
research concepts such as literature search, proposal preparation, and
public presentation of results.
