Spatial Angular Compounding Technique for H-scan Ultrasound Imaging

A paper co-authored by Professor Kevin Parker titled "Spatial Angular Compounding Technique for H-scan Ultrasound Imaging" will appear in the January 2018 issue of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology and can be found here. The paper is a collaboration with Drs. Mawia Khairalseed (first author), Fangyuan Xiong, Jung-Whan Kim, Robert Mattrey, and Kenneth Hoyt at UT-Dallas/UT Southwestern Medical Center. The article describes the implementation of H-scan using plane wave imaging and the investigation of the impact of spatial angular compounding on H-scan image quality.

A manuscript titled "An approach to viscoelastic characterization of dispersive media by inversion of a general wave propagation model," authored by PhD student Fernando Zvietcovich and Professor Kevin Parker, was recently published. The journal article, co-authored by Professor Jannick Rolland of the UR Institute of Optics, appears in the November 2017 issue of the Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences and can be found here.

A manuscript co-authored by Professor Kevin Parker, graduate student Juvenal Ormachea, and former visiting student Alberto Terrazas, along with University of Texas at Dallas collaborators Dr. Kenneth Hoyt and Dr. Mawia Khairalseed was published by the Journal of Medical Imaging. The journal article is titled "H-scan sensitivity to scattering size" and can be accessed here.
