My research spans many disciplines, with the common theme of trying to elucidate the unseen through the lens of fluid dynamics. My research areas include: fluid dynamics of the brain, turbulence and viscosity at high-energy density conditions, biologically-inspired hydrodynamic sensing. My group uses experiments and simulations to achieve our goals, and we collaborate with the University of Rochester Medlcal Center, the Laboratory for Laser Energetics, and the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, among others.
