Eryn Fennig receives Best Student Paper Prize

Group member Eryn Fennig was recently awarded the 2019 Advanced Photonics Best Student Paper Prize for her work  “Planar Light Guide Concentrators for Building Integrated Photovoltaics.” Congratulations Eryn!

Fennig presented this paper at the OSA Advanced Photonics Congress in San Francisco.  She outlined her work in optimizing the design and validating prototype performance of planar lightguide solar concentrators.  Fennig's planar solar concentrators offer a compact alternative to Fresnel lenses in collecting solar energy for integrated photovoltaics.
