Overview
As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the NROTC Scholarship Program plays an important role in preparing young men and women for leadership positions in an increasingly technical Navy.
Program Goals
The primary objectives are to provide students with:
- Comprehension of the fundamental concepts and principles of naval science
- Basic understanding of associated professional knowledge
- Appreciation of the requirements for national security
- Strong sense of personal integrity, honor, and individual responsibility
- Educational background which will allow students to:
- Perform successfully in their careers
- Pursue continuing education in a field of application
- Further their interest in the naval service
- High state of physical readiness
