Robert Boyd awarded 2016 Schawlow prize

Robert Boyd was recently awarded the 2016 Arthur L. Schawlow Prize in Laser Science, given by the American Physical Society. The citation reads: "For fundamental contributions to the field of nonlinear optics, including the development of approaches for controlling the velocity of light, of quantum imaging methods, and of composite nonlinear optical materials." The prize will be awarded in Rochester at the APS Laser Science Annual Meeting (Oct 16-20, 2016), which is held jointly with the OSA Annual Meeting, Frontiers in Optics.
