Yong Wang received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from Southeast University, China in 2011. His current research interests are in injection-locked oscillators, UWB transceivers, and radars for indoor positioning.

Francis Smith received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from City College of New York in 2011. His current research interests are silicon photonics, optical interconnects, lidars, and biomedical electronics. He is the recipient of GEM Fellowship, University of Rochester Provost’s Fellowship, and NSF IGERT Fellowship.

Siyuan Liu received his B.Sc. degree in Optoelectronic Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2017. His master research focuses on laser measurement and scanning system.

Jie Xu received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China in 2006. His current research interests are injection-locked oscillators, UWB transceivers, and radars for indoor positioning.


Jianyun Hu, Ph.D. 2013

Jianyun Hu received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and M.S. (with honors) degree in Microelectronics from Fudan University, China, in 2003 and 2006, respectively. His current research interests are wideband integrated circuits and impulse-radio UWB transceivers. He received Excellent Student Scholarships in 2000-2005, and Excellent Graduate Thesis award at Fudan University in 2006.

Shang Wang received her B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from Nanjing University, China, in 2006, and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Rochester in 2007.. Her current research interests are wideband integrated circuits and microwave photonics. She was the recipient of Samsung Scholarship at Nanjing University in 2003-2004.


Berkehan Ciftcioglu, Ph.D. 2012

Berkehan Ciftcioglu received his B.Sc. degree in microelectronics engineering from Sabanci University, Turkey in 2005. His current research interests are high-speed electronics and microwave photonics. He worked at Intel Photonic Technology Lab in 2008. He was the recipient of Merit Scholarship at Sabanci University in 2001-2004, Frank J. Horton Research Fellowship at University of Rochester in 2007 to 2012, and 2012 Best PhD Dissertation Award of University of Rochester.

Lin Zhang received his B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 2004. His Ph.D. research focused on highly-efficient RF and high-speed integrated circuits. He received Excellent Student Scholarships in 2001-2003, and Undergraduate Thesis Award in 2004 at Tsinghua University. He was the recipient of Frank J. Horton Research Fellowship at University of Rochester from 2006-2007.

Yunliang Zhu received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from Nanjing University, China, in 2003, and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, in 2004. His Ph.D. research focused on wideband RF/microwave integrated circuits and on-chip microwave passive devices. He was the recipient of the First Robert Mundell Scholarship at Nanjing University and Frank J. Horton Research Fellowship at University of Rochester from 2005-2008. He was the Best Student Paper winner at 2008 Topical Meeting on Silicon Monolithic Integrated Circuits in RF Systems (SiRF).
