Abstract: Blockchain technology has undoubtedly been the buzzwords since last year. However, is blockchain a hype or hope for many problems we are facing in the digital media industry. The DMT Lab began to explore this area since the end of 2017 with the collaborations of the Blockchain industry partners. We are in the very early stage of this research journey. In this presentation, we will share some preliminary findings of how blockchain can offer to the digital media industry; what needs to be done; and what we are trying to achieve from the DMT Lab.
