Professor Robert Waag honored in a special "Festschrift" issue of the journal Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology

It is a pleasure to announce the publication of a special "Festschrift" issue of the journal Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, in honor of the extraordinary scientific research and technical accomplishments of Professor Robert Waag in the areas of medical imaging, biomedical ultrasound, and acoustics. Bob has a track record of analytical rigor and visionary insight that extends over 40 years and is without peer, so this special Festschrift issue is well deserved.

Personally, I consider it a great privilege to have Bob as a colleague, and in addition to have had the chance to collaborate with Prof. Ed Carstensen on a review paper for this issue of the journal.   The introduction, written by ECE Alumnus Prof. Fred Kremkau of Wake Forest University, is included for your perusal.
