Michael Heilemann attended Canisius College, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in the spring of 2013 where he received the V.A. Ruszkiewicz Memorial Prize for Distinction in Physics. He began doctoral studies at the University of Rochester in the fall of 2013 and received the Hajim Dean’s Award in 2013 and 2014. He pursued research in acoustics under the direction of Mark F. Bocko, and received his MS in Electrical Engineering in the spring of 2015. In 2017, he was named the Harman Scholar by the Audio Engineering Society Educational Foundation. He received his PhD from the University of Rochester in Electrical Engineering in August 2018.
