Hesam Askari wins Springer Nature Editor of Distinction Award
Author Service Award for your contributions to JOM
Hesam Askari has contributed to the scholarly community through editorial leadership as a guest editor for the Journal of Materials. In 2024, he led a special topic titled “Interfacial Mechanics and Property Functionalization,” which highlighted advances in the mechanics and tailored properties of material interfaces. Since 2025, he has have served as a guest editor for the topic “2D Materials: Preparation, Properties, and Applications,” bringing together research on the synthesis, characterization, properties, and emerging applications of two-dimensional materials. He was honored to receive the “2025 Editor of Distinction Award awarded by Springer Nature Publishing for his role with The Journal of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (JOM), awarded by Springer Nature Publishing.
