Chlorophyll (Formula:C55H72O5N4Mg) is responsible for the green color of the leaves. It will break down when autumn comes, which brings the yellow to orange colors visible and gives the fall splendor.
The Leaves have similar element composition, and mostly consist of C, O, Mg, Al, Si, P, K, and Ca.

From the EDX results, it is hard to see the element composition difference between the two sections (green and red, or yellow and red). However, the element ratio is not the same. Compared with green portions, the yellow and red ones have less carbon, which confirms the fact that the chlorophyll breaks down.
