MS Program Outline

The MS degree can be completed in nine months by electing the coursework-only option which requires a total of eight courses and the elaboration of an essay. Two other options, the thesis option and the MS co-op options (which includes a 12-month work block in the optics industry), each require two years to complete. At the present time, those with an MS degree in optics are being eagerly recruited by industry. The number of job and career opportunities available is significantly greater than the number of MS degrees we grant each other.
