 Recorded Talk

Abstract: In this talk I will present some examples of our work using Nanophotonics for a range of applications: Quantum photonics (generation of indistinguishable photons); Space, (solar cells, anti-reflection coatings, bandpass filters); Bio-sensing applications (low-cost plasmonic sensors, nanofluidic platforms for molecular detection), and even Cosmetics.

PostigoBio:  Dr. Pablo Aitor Postigo received his M.Sc. degree in Physics from the University of Basque Country in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree in Physics from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in 1996. He was Postdoctoral Associate at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1996 to 1999. He is a permanent researcher at the IMN-CSIC since 2005. He is co-author of 90+ international publications, 5 patents and has participated in several European projects, Eranet and Networks of Excellence included one proposal in the recently started UE Quantum Flagship Project.
