Upstate New York Microphysiological Systems Symposium

The Inaugural Upstate New York MPS Symposium (UNY-MPSS 2024) was held at the University of Rochester on June 3, 2024. Entirely planned, coordinated, and executed by biomedical engineering student leaders and volunteers from the Microphysiological Systems (MPS) Network group, the event attracted nearly 100 attendees from over a dozen institutions across Northeast America.

The 2024 symposium featured:

  • Advancements in 3D cultures, organoids, and MPS for in vitro disease/tissue modeling and drug discovery
  • Faculty and trainee talks, alumni insight presentations, clinical and outreach presentations, workshops, and poster presentations
  • Networking with SIMPore Inc., Emulate Inc., and ALine Inc. representatives
